This partnership aims to utilize Lightyear’s patented technology for curved solar panels and Koenigsegg’s energy efficiency technologies. Two companies are targeting to enhance the EV range by 70 km per day by using solar panels for charging the vehicle while driving and parking. The average distance travelled by a car per day in EU is around 40 km. The technology will make a great impact on sustainability & decarbonization by utilizing renewable energy sources. The two companies are focused on making powertrains more efficient, smaller, and powerful.
