AGC Biologics and Genenta Science Agree to a Development and Manufacturing Deal

AGC Biologics and Genenta Science have entered a development and manufacturing service agreement to produce cell therapy lentivirus-based products for the latter one’s current clinical studies. Genenta Science is working on developing hematopoietic stem progenitor cell immuno-gene therapy for cancer. Genenta had an existing contract for manufacturing services with the Milan-based facility of Molecular Medicine, which AGC Biologics later acquired in 2020.
Since 2016, the Milan facility has been producing lentiviral vectors and pharmaceutical products for Genenta’s ongoing activities, beginning with the first stages of process development. In addition to the services supplied under the AGC Biologics agreement. Luca Alberici—General manager of AGC Biologics’ Milan facility—stated that this has been another step towards collaboration with Genenta.
