Brown‑Forman Corporation announced its agreement to purchase the Spanish gin brand Gin Mare brands from owners, Vantguard and MG Destilerías. After the completion of transactions Brown‑Forman, will expand its portfolio by adding Gin Mare and Gin Mare Capri. Gin Mare is the world’s No. 1 ultra-premium gin, it is a Spanish gin with a Mediterranean-inspired recipe of botanicals, including Arbequina olives, thyme, rosemary, and basil, whereas Gin Mare Capri, introduced last year, is made with Italian bergamot and lemons, along with Gin Mare’s four principal botanicals.
Brown‑Forman Corporation has more than 150 years of experience in responsibly building fine quality beverage alcohol brands, and Gin Mare is the first gin that distills the Mediterranean lifestyle into a bottle, which is sold in more than 70 countries and is the largest ultra-premium gin brand in the world according to IWSR. This acquisition will ensure a unique, high-quality Mediterranean gin and an enhanced product portfolio for Brown‑Forman to deliver meaningful global growth for the long term.
