Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. unveiled the opening of its new Cell Therapy Collaboration Center Program in Singapore to pace up the cell therapy development in the Asia Pacific region. To offer specialized support to cell and gene therapy (CGT) developers on their journey to clinical manufacturing & commercial success, the newly established center in Singapore will act as the Asia Pacific headquarters. Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are thought to be responsible for nine million annual deaths in Southeast Asia, and the Asia-Pacific region is also home to about half of all cancer cases in the globe, with a projected 35% increase in incidence by 2030.
Considering this vulnerable issue, Thermo Fisher Scientific has developed a portfolio of integrated solutions and services to support cell and gene therapy developers from clinical research to commercial manufacturing.
